In the third installment of our Room Recreation series (see first and second posts) we have our first boho look with a neutral base, hints of gold and brass, and LOTS of fun textures. Bohemian looks tend to lean into organic materials and natural textures so we embraced rattan and seagrass but polished up the lounge with a structured sofa, sleek gold coffee table, and elegant lighting that makes the whole vignette look more elevated.

LET’S RECREATE A LOUNGE FROM AN INSPIRATION PHOTO:

Boho chic is quickly becoming a new classic. Like Hollywood Regency or Mid-Century Modern, a California inspired bohemian chic aesthetic with layered textures and organic materials isn’t going out of style anytime soon. In our latest lounge recreation we brought in a light colored area rug with an abstract floral pattern to not distract from the already texture heavy setup. A smooth linen sofa with button tufts pairs well with the Windward Rattan Armchair, shaggy Boho Braided Pouf and versatile Cinch Seagrass Stools.

The real stars of the vignette are the pops of gold from the Ibiza Coffee Table (love the contrast of the smooth, modern table and the woven furniture!) and the more traditional Collins Lamp. Bringing in a a floor lamp not only brightens the area but also brings height to a relatively low profile configuration. You can also bring in height and brightness with faux or live greenery, florals on plinths or string lighting.
