Sourced from the iconic Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City, these rich velvet wingback armchairs have history!
Circa 2002 – these chairs were created by Dutch designer Maarten Baas for his collection “Smoke”, which involves burning and charring the chair frame completely and then filling it with black resin prior to upholstery.
This bold chair was commissioned by hotelier Ian Schrager for his famous Gramercy Park Hotel which is known for its luxe, maximalist interiors.
